Insignia Crew launch new website to introduce their Private Staff division.
Realising growth in the Superyacht & private staff recruitment markets despite the challenges
Since the launch of Insignia Crew in early 2017, we held a belief that because our business and the community we had chosen to represent were both so unique, we would undoubtedly see positive growth as we became more established and trusted partnerships were built within the superyacht recruitment industry.
We were very aware that it would take time for Insignia Crew to successfully mature and that a ‘no compromise’ approach would be needed around work ethic, diligent proactive business acumen, and finally, client and candidate relationship management if we were to realise the kind of success we knew was possible.
Along with everyone else, we were very unaware that 2020 would bring with it untold personal and business challenges and a type of resilience that would have been more at home during the dark days of WW2, rather than the start of the 2020 Mediterranean season on the Côte d’Azur.
I think it is safe to say that no one was prepared for a global pandemic and when it hit, most, if not all of us, simply stood and watched nervously not really knowing quite what to do.
It was a perfect storm mixing deep personal concern for friends and family with nail-biting professional concern regardless of whether you owned a business or were employed within one. We were all in the same boat staring at a future that was in effect on pause and at best uncertain.

As a young 18-year-old Royal Marine, I learned that overcoming adversity was absolutely imperative for mission success. There were never any problems in the Royal Marines only solutions, regardless of the challenges.
Unbeknown to me at the time, and I would suggest a good many other young men I had the pleasure of serving with in the Corps, the early adoption of a resilient mindset has undoubtedly assisted me in navigating all manner of personal and professional challenges, not least a global pandemic as the owner of a unique business concept.
It is well known to many in business that if you stand still or indeed fail to diversify, you will likely fail, despite your best efforts. We have always been very aware of this and as such we have continually focused on how we should grow our brand and business into differing market channels.
Diversification into the land-based private staff sector
As the pandemic began to grip last year, we began to receive enquiries from land-based organisations such as private family offices and private estates across the world who were seeking to address staffing pain-points and appoint multi skilled professionals with either a military or superyacht background.
This area of our business has been growing steadily ever since and we are delighted that Insignia Crew has been able to diversify its proposition to now include a Private Staff service in areas such as:

New website and CRM system launch
Fast forward to May 2021 and after some considerable hard work and unrelenting effort behind the scenes by our Co-Founder Annalise Holme, we are extremely excited to announce the launch of our new website and supporting CRM system complete with a new strapline By Sea By Land.
The modernisation of these two areas will allow us to streamline the business considerably, making our online client and candidate experience a pleasure.
