Founder and Managing Director of Insignia Crew, Andrew Holme, served in
The Royal Marines for twelve years.

After leaving service, Andrew spent time at sea as a crew member within the superyacht industry, this led him to realise that it would especially benefit from employing those who:

hold advanced qualifications and diverse additional skills
are used to long term overseas commitments
understand the importance of rank aboard
have the ability to adhere to and carry out instructions
are seeking career longevity and progression

…all attributes which former military personnel hold in abundance, especially Royal Navy and Royal Marines whose maritime skill sets perfectly match the demands of the industry.

Andrew moved ashore and held senior commercial roles within the maritime industry and executive recruitment which completed his experience and knowledge required to successfully fulfil his desire to bring a dynamic and premium crew placement service to the superyacht industry.

Andrew founded Insignia Crew in 2017.

Since launching, our client portfolio and network within the high-net-worth sectors has grown significantly, as has our reputation for providing an excellent personalised service. This has led to demand for us to also provide land based professionals for private households, estates and family offices. This natural progression for Insignia Crew underpins our aim to provide deserved veterans with opportunities to utilise their diverse experience and skillsets on both sea and land.

Due to the unique nature of our proposition, we also attract very high calibre candidates who do not carry a military pedigree and we happily represent these selected candidates who bring their own skills and experience to appointments.
